A new in-house coffee shop has set its foundation in the main hub of I-8 Markaz, Islamabad, making it a new and captivating addition to the rising coffee culture in the town. The café showcases a modernist approach to architecture and interior design, harmonizing functionality with a distinct aesthetic. The design approach is centered around the green color finishes, the plan is anchored around a statement spiral staircase and the visual cues are elaborated by the lattice facade. The spatial layout is characterized by double-height ceilings, which amplify the sense of openness and volume within the space. This is further accentuated by the use of clean, geometric lines, notably in the staircase and furniture. The overall design embraces industrial minimalism, evident in the exposed concrete ceiling and visible piping. These raw elements provide a stark contrast to the café's carefully curated finishes, achieving a balance between ruggedness and refinement. The façade features an illuminated cube-like signage that acts as a bold visual anchor, drawing attention to the café's entrance.

A vibrant green dominates the interior, lending the space a playful yet organic vibe. This choice is complemented by neutral tones, including beige walls and light gray flooring, which allow the green to become the focal point without overwhelming the senses. The custom-designed furniture includes tables and chairs with clean, modern lines, featuring white upholstery paired with green frames. The bar counter, made from textured concrete and supported by cylindrical columns, adds an element of brutalist design. To tie all the features together the lighting strategy combines ambient and accent lighting to create a cozy yet well-lit environment. The main focal point of the interior space is the striking spiral staircase, serving both functional and aesthetic purposes. Rendered in the same green hue as the furniture, it connects the mezzanine level seamlessly while contributing to the dynamic spatial flow.

This café is more than a functional space—it’s a visual experience. It’s a testament to contemporary design done with both flair and finesse.
